Google Cloud Spanner
Working with the Google Cloud team, we helped present the power of their new fully-managed Cloud Spanner service at the Google Next conference in San Francisco. This ambitious live demo took the form of a real-world data visualization of global ticket sales, showing Spanner’s lightening fast ability to handle incredibly large data sets.

“Cloud Spanner is the most compelling option we’ve seen to power a high-scale relational query workload. It’s an impressive technology and could dramatically simplify how we manage our databases.”

With limited time and scope, we proposed three different data visualization solutions that varied in terms of complexity.

When Google launched Cloud Spanner at Next, we create a fully working prototype to show off this new service, built for performance, scalability, and 99.99% uptime.

The Google Cloud product marketing team needed a way to show the developer community the performance of its new service in a real-time scenario so a global ticket sales story was created.

Working along side the Google Next brand standards, the user interface explored different ways it could display how the service supported expanding global ticket sales.

An agile cross functional team executed the design and engineering working closely together throughout the process.

Competitive and comparative design audits were complete to better understand the data visualization space.
